Advance LA

The Help Group’s Advance LA is excited to announce the re-launch of Club L.A. Club LA is an exciting social community for young adults ages 18 to 35 who have social challenges. It provides a great opportunity to make connections with other young adults with common interests and is structured to ensure a positive experience for all participants. Club LA is part of Advance LA, which provides: one-on-one life skills coaching, a residential living program on a university campus, parent support groups, young adult annual conference, and workshops for young adults who need support in their transition to adulthood.

Each month offers a different activity for participants. Activities may include anime events, gaming tournaments, hiking or nature walks, beach days, movie outings, or local LA events. We’re open to suggestions from our participants! Club LA events will occur throughout LA County. There is a nominal fee to participate in Club LA events.

Our first event on Sunday, January 26th is Speed Friending. Participants will be provided conversation starters and will have 3-4 minutes to introduce themselves to the person across from them, and then participants will rotate to the next person. This gives everyone the opportunity to meet many new people in a short amount of time. After the Speed Friending activity, participants will have time to play board games, mingle, and swap contact information with new friends.
