• Job: Special Education Teacher

We are searching for a HIGHLY QUALIFIED special education teacher to work in the Vocational Education Center at Bridgeport School. You will be working with students with autism and related developmental disabilities on vocational and independent living skills. Must have experience with this population, as well as strong classroom management skills. Experience working with students in a vocational and/or community setting is preferred. 

Requirements:
Dedicated Highly Qualified Teacher (current or expected enrollment in a University internship program; Level I or II Mild/Moderate credential WITH added authorization to teach autism or Moderate/Severe credential), who is able to implement individual student education programs; develop and execute vocationally-based lesson plans, supervise classroom staff; manage student behavior; work with parents. Again, strong experience with our population is a MUST. Moderate/Severe credential preferred.

We pay our Level I/Level II teachers according to the LAUSD pay scale.
