Broadway comes to Sherman Oaks when Music for Autism and The Help Group present a free interactive concert for individuals of all ages and abilities and their families on Saturday, October 25th at 11:00 a.m. at The Help Group Autism Center in Sherman Oaks.
The concert will feature four cast members from the national tour of the Broadway musical PIPPIN – Skyler Adams, Kristine Reese, Ryan Cantwell and Sabrina Harper. The performers will have the audience up and moving to the music as they sing and dance show tunes in the style of Bob Fosse.
The one-hour performance will include “concert time” when audience members are free to respond to music as active audience members; “conducting time” when everyone is invited to conduct the musicians; and “percussion time” when participants are asked to play along on percussion instruments.
Dr. Robert Accordino, U.S. Founder and President of Music for Autism, will be attending next Saturday’s concert. “This is going to be a wonderful opportunity for families to experience the joy and magic of music. Our thanks to The Help Group for being our West Coast partner since 2011.”
