LOVE IS
Smiles and happy faces
Being surrounded by
Caring people in special places
Thoughts of happiness
And tears of sadness
Giving and caring
Hugging and sharing

A FRIEND
A friend is there before you know it
To lend a hand before you ask it
And give you love just when you need
It most

BUTTERFLY
Butterflies come in all different colors.
To me, Each color represents a feeling or idea:
Courage, knowledge, wisdom, or a dream.
Not only a dream, but a goal of reaching
What's hidden in your heart.

Learning to depend on one's self
Although there are boundaries in our paths.
I find great comfort because I find
Friendship with those along the same road.
A flower almost died in me
But, I discovered I don't have to depend
Only upon myself.
With the love of my family in the Help Group
I find my talents, my feeling, self-esteem,
And, I dream of flying high above
Like a butterfly.

Butterflies are amazing creatures
Being in the heart of flowers where butterflies meet
Is like the warmth of caring friends.
Butterflies warm and light up a summer's day
Like love can light up our lives.
Butterflies make life colorful
Like new experiences and feelings
Like a child becomes an adult.
A butterfly struggles from a caterpillar,
Into a creature beautiful and alive!

I hope to be like that butterfly
Tireless in my struggle to leave the cocoon!
Not to quit, but to achieve my goals,
And be beautiful like a
BUTTERFLY!

AN ANGEL FOR YOU
I asked God to send an ANGEL for me
And days passed by with no ANGELS to see
You opened your heart and you let me in
What a beautiful place for friendship to begin
I come to see you everyday
You always have hugs and loving words to say
You never judge me for the things I say and do
You always tell me "I'll be here for you"
I asked God to send an ANGEL for me
And still days passed with no ANGELS to see
Your wonderful laugh and beautiful smile
Have made all my days even more worthwhile
You have always been right by my side
Your loving arms held me when I needed to cry
You are always there with the "You Can Do It" cheer
You always assure me that you will be near
