The Help Group's day schools offer elementary, middle school and high school programs and are certified by the California State Department of Education. Each of the schools provides diagnostic prescriptive teaching, small classes, individualized curriculum, and enrichment activities to maximize learning.
 

Summit View School fosters the fullest potential of students with specific learning disabilities. In this dynamic environment, students build their academic skills, experience the educational process as positive and rewarding and recognize their strengths and abilities.

Pacific Ridge School addresses the educational needs of students who require an intensive therapeutic day school due to emotional and behavioral disabilities. Psychodynamic and behavioral techniques complement the diagnostic teaching process in helping students to experience success and achievement.

Bridgeport School integrates an academic curriculum with hands on life skills training and vocational services for students with mild cognitive delays and challenges in the areas of social communication and /or language development.

   Clinical Programs
 


The Help Group Child and Family Center* serving children, adolescents, young adults and families, offers a broad spectrum of clinical services encompassing the following programs:
 


Project Six creates therapeutic living opportunities in nurturing, homelike settings for children, adolescents and young adults with developmental disabilities. With a full continuum of integrated services, these programs promote personal and interpersonal development, vocational and independent living skills.

The Mental Health Services Programs provide psychiatry, individual, family and group therapy, case management, early intervention day treatment services for at-risk preschoolers, after school enrichment for at-risk children and vocational services.

The Help Group Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders features multidisciplinary assessment, intervention, family support, therapeutic preschool programs, after school programs and summer camp for children with autism, high functioning autism and Asperger's Disorders.

Stepping Stones Preschool Program for children with behavioral and emotional difficulties offers a therapeutic day treatment program for preschoolers who are challenged by special needs, providing early childhood education in combination with comprehensive mental health services.

The Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy Programs provide comprehensive assessment and intervention services on current research and best practices in individual, small group and classroom settings.

The Help Group - UCLA Neuropsychology Program is an innovative partnership of The Help Group and UCLA's Neuropsychiatric Institute. The program provides neuropsychological assessments and consultations for children, adolescents and young adults and enriches the field of knowledge through its research and educational endeavors.

The Child Abuse Prevention and Intervent include child and family counseling, foster family recruitment and placement, family preservation, teen parenting and family reunification counseling.

All of the programs of  The Help Group admit clients of any race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion and of either sex.
