The Help Group is pleased to offer continuing education credits for professionals at its upcoming Summit 2014: Advances and Best Practices in Autism, Learning Disabilities and ADHD.  Credits are available both days of the conference, which will be held Friday, October 17th and Saturday, October 18th at the Skirball Cultural Center.

This year’s conference features 30 leading experts in basic and applied research and evidence-based best practices in assessment, intervention and treatment. The program provides a rich experience for educators, clinicians and therapists.

Following the 2013 Summit, one practitioner shared, “This is my third Help Group Summit, and each time I have been impressed with the quality of the presenters and how well-organized the conference is.” Another professional noted, “This is my second year traveling from out of state for the Summit, and it is well worth the trip each year. The presenters and topics are excellent and very relevant to my clinical practice.”

The Help Group is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists and by The American Occupational Therapy Association to assign continuing education units for occupational therapists.  Summit 2014 meets the qualifications for continuing professional development credits for speech-language pathologists as required by the California Speech-Language Pathology& Audiology Board. Social workers and therapists can receive credits for the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, and behavior analyst practitioners can receive units according to the guidelines set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.

Additionally, The Help Group provides Certificates of Attendance at the conclusion of each day’s program for other professionals who may not be covered by one of the accrediting organizations listed above.
