Twelve of The Help Group’s students were invited to participate in special pre-game events sponsored by Toys R Us “My First Sports Moment” at the 2015 Special Olympic World Games, held in Los Angeles. Events included Gymnastics, Tennis, Bowling, Football and Softball, and the occasion provided The Help Group’s youngest athletes the ability to experience the excitement and thrill of participating in a sporting activity on a worldwide stage.
Our congratulations to Neel, Isabella, Jeremiah, Brian, Kaden, Kyler, James, Ryan, Rio, Kekoa, Levi, and Joshua! These students from The Help Group’s Early Education programs, ages 3 to 7-years old, participated in the Special Olympics Young Athletes Program, a foundational sports skills training program, held at The Help Group this past spring.
The Help Group would like to extend its appreciation to Special Olympics Southern California for including our children in its amazing Young Athletes Program, and to Toys R Us for its commitment to give kids of all abilities the chance to experience their #MyFirstSportsMoment at the 2015 Special Olympics World Games.
