Hello Kaleidoscope Community!
As we welcome the blossoms of April, we’re also embracing a time of reflection – honoring and celebrating diversity in all its forms. This month, Kaleidoscope is proud to shine a spotlight on Autism Acceptance Month and the Day of Pink.
Autism Acceptance Month is a time to recognize and celebrate the unique perspectives and contributions of individuals on the autism spectrum. It’s about embracing a broader understanding, acceptance, and inclusion for every member of our community, regardless of neurodiversity. At Kaleidoscope, we believe in celebrating the beautiful spectrum of human experiences, and that includes the diverse experiences of our autistic community members.
In addition to Autism Acceptance Month, today, April 10th marks the Day of Pink – a day dedicated to raising awareness about the impact of bullying and discrimination, particularly in the LGBTQIA+ community. It’s a day to stand up against bullying in all its forms and to promote a culture of kindness, acceptance, and respect.
We invite you to join us in celebrating the richness of diversity within our community and in standing up against bullying and discrimination. Together, let’s create a world where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued for who they are.
As always, please feel free to send any questions to: kaleidoscope@thehelpgroup.org and make sure to follow us on @kaleidoscopelgbtq and KaleidoscopeLGBTQ to keep current on our clubs and groups, as well as special events.
With Pride,
The Kaleidoscope Team |
