This holiday season, The Help Group Choir performed a wonderfully festive “Holiday Concert” on December 19th and 20th at the Autism Center on the Sherman Oaks campus.

The audience was filled with enthusiastic and cheering students from both Bridgeport and Village Glen schools. Proud family members were also in attendance, and clapped along to holiday classics throughout the show.

Charlotte Bashner, Help Group Choir Director, welcomed the audience and introduced the choir – accompanied on the piano by Tommy Reeves. Early education students from Bridgeport kicked off the show with a performance that included bells and percussion instruments.

Highlights from the show included “Jingle Bells”; “Hanukkah Medley”; a solo performance of “All I Want for Christmas” sung by Michael, a Village Glen student, and a duet performance of “O Holy Night” between Bella, a Village Glen student, and Charlotte Bashner.

“These holiday concerts are a great experience for our students. They’re able to truly feel the holiday spirit and participate in the performance by singing and clapping along. And, Help Group Choir members have the opportunity to learn all new songs! What a magical way to send off our students into the holiday break,” said Pamela Clark, Director of Autism Schools.
