Help Mates Volunteer Program
Volunteering is an important part of The Help Group tradition. We welcome and encourage you to join our Help Mates program and to join a terrific team of more than 200 volunteers. Help Mates participate in almost every program that The Help Group offers. Volunteer activities include classroom involvement, after-school enrichment classes, recreational and social skills programs, volunteering in summer and winter camps and workshops for adolescents and adults in our residential programs.
We also have volunteers in our Silverlining Resale Boutique and Vocational Training Program, our Stepping Stones preschool mental health program and in some of our offices helping out with program preparation, clerical work, data entry and office duties. Some of our volunteers like to get involved with fundraising and community affairs events like our Holiday Carnival, Teddy Bear Tea, Teddy Bear Ball, Keyes for Kids Teddy Bear Golf Classic, Special Needs Resource Fair and many of our professional conferences and seminars.
If you’d like to get information on how to join The Help Group’s fantastic volunteer team and become one of our Help Mates, please contact Ann Avidor, Volunteer Coordinator, at 818.779.5233 or fill out the form below.
