Jump Into Summer with Specialized Day Camps for 6-17-year-olds with Autism and Other Special Needs!
Kids Like Me’s summer camps return on Monday, June 12th! These camps are a safe and enriching environment for neurodiverse 6-17-year-olds with autism spectrum disorder and other special needs to engage, experience, and explore. Campers will be matched to ensure an appropriate peer group for learning and fun and participate in a wide range of social skills and fun activities such as fun & fitness, engaging games, science experiments, arts & crafts, and so much more! Siblings are welcome.
And did you know two of our camps (Camp Sunshine and Camp Village Glen) are vendored with the following Regional Centers? We also accept Self Determination funds!

Village Glen Camp
A specialized enrichment camp for kids ages 6 to 16 with learning, language, attention, social, and/or sensory challenges. Created and overseen by Help Group professionals and volunteers and featuring a low camper-to-counselor ratio of one staff to five campers,, this program is designed to encourage personal development and foster new friendships through themed activities! $675 per week.
Week 1: June 12 – 16
Engineers and Explorers: This week, we’ll be building and creating! Construct a town made of legos and other materials, build things with cardboard, and participate in a campwide egg drop contest!
Week 2:
June 19 – 23
Village Glen Sleuthing Academy: Amateur sleuths, get ready for a fun-filled week of puzzling and solving mysteries. We’ll be playing in a virtual escape room, learning how to send secret messages, going on a treasure hunt, and more!
Week 3:
June 26 – 30
Science Squad: Science is meant to be fun, messy, and dare we say, delicious? We’ll develop strange and wonderful things in our camp lab, including lava lamps, magic mud, and homemade ice-cream!
Week 4:
August 7 – 11
Weekday Warriors (Fun in the Sun!): We’re keeping it cool with fun activities, both in the sun and the shade!

Camp Sunshine
For 6 – 16-year olds with autism who require higher levels of support. Our team of Help Group professionals oversee a creative summer camp designed to help each camper reach their highest potential and develop unique strengths and abilities through themed activities. Campers build confidence and self-esteem, practice important life skills, and take steps toward independence while making new friends! This camp also features our lowest staffing ratio of one staff to three campers! $675 per week.
Week 1: June 12 – 16

Super Hero Training Institute: Move aside super heroes, there’s a new team in town! Design your own hero, create costumes, test your physical aptitude with obstacle courses, and learn what it means to be heroic!

June 26 – 30
Let’s Go A Campin’ (Indoor Campground Extravaganza!): This week, we’ll bring the campgrounds to campus! We’ll be building bird feeders, learning about stars and constellations, making art with natural materials, and end with the week with spooky stories and s’mores!

Teens on the Go
A unique social skills program designed especially for low-support needs Teenagers ages 14 to 17 with learning, language, attention, social and/or sensory challenges. Led by Help Group professionals, this special program features daily trips, tours, activities, and adventures with peers throughout Los Angeles! $725 per week.

Teen Meets World: Explore all the fun things that Los Angeles has to offer! We’ll go to amusement parks, museums, and more!
June 19 – 23
Ready, Player Teen: Enjoy playing games? This week is for you! We’ll be going to arcades, racing go karts, escape rooms, bowling, and more!
June 26 – 30
Teens in Tech: Who doesn’t love science and technology? This week we’ll be exploring the world of natural science and technology through places like the Discovery Cube, the California Science Center, and more!
August 7 – 11
Teens Keep It Cool: Summer is hot, but you don’t have to be! This week we’ll be going to cool places like the Long Beach Aquarium, and other water parks in the area!
