Overview
All kids need opportunities to have fun, connect with others, learn new skills, make friends and enjoy a sense of belonging... That's what Kids Like Me is all about! The Help Group's Kids Like Me programs are created especially for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental challenges. Participants can enjoy after-school classes, clubs, camps, family weekend social activities and other events with peers who share similar challenges. Programs are overseen by highly-trained professionals and developed to accommodate various age and ability levels.
Staff supervision will be provided at no extra charge for Help Group students from 1:30pm to the start of classes at 2:15pm.
Musical Artist Education
A unique instrumental music program where students of varying abilities collaborate in the songwriting process. Various instruments are used with parts adapted so that every student participates according to his/ her ability. All of this culminates in an amazing performance of their newly written song! Students will experience teamwork, creative music making, song production and a sense of accomplishment.
