On Thursday, January 31st, Grammy Award-winning, beloved children’s musician Dan Zanes and his musical partner Claudia Eliaza performed an acoustic concert at The Help Group’s Autism Center for a morning school assembly.

Students and faculty from The Help Group’s Bridgeport and Village Glen schools filled the audience – clapping and singing along to an array of songs in a sensory-friendly environment.

Dan and Claudia, a trained music therapist, did a wonderful job teaching the young people in the audience memorable lyrics and fun, interactive movements that accompanied such tunes as “Songs Are Everywhere”; “All Around The Kitchen”; “So Glad I’m Here” and “Wonder Wheel.”

From the very first note, spirited Help Group students were dancing in the aisles – even forming a conga line toward the end of the concert. The dynamic energy in the room was truly unforgettable!

“Dan and Claudia’s concert was an absolute joyous occasion for our young people. Throughout the performance, students were able to learn new songs and interact with the musicians in such a meaningful way. The magic of music was truly on display,” said Pamela Clark, Director of Autism Schools at The Help Group.

Our heartfelt thanks to Dan and Claudia for giving our young people such a fulfilling and memorable experience!
