The Help Group would like to extend a warm welcome to the Kids Like Me new Program Director, Naté Brown!

With nearly two decades at the Help Group, Naté brings a rich blend of skills spanning teaching, production, and drama direction. Her passion for education and the arts shines through her innovative projects, positively impacting students’ lives. Beyond education, Naté has been involved in TV, marketing, and philanthropy, particularly focused on addressing poverty locally and beyond.

With extensive experience in a variety of fields, Naté assumes her new role as Program Director at Kids Like Me. Her approach emphasizes holistic education, nurturing not just academics but also social and life skills, and building confidence and healthy relationships among students.

Naté’s enthusiasm and confidence in her new role are fueled by her rich background and steadfast commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of the children she serves. Kids Like Me is fortunate to have such a dedicated and experienced individual leading our program.

Jump Into Summer with Specialized Day Camps – Now Accepting Applications!
June 10 – July 3 | 9 am – 2 pm

Kids Like Me’s summer camps begin on Monday, June 10th! These camps are a safe and enriching environment for 6-17-year-olds across the autism spectrum to engage, experience, and explore. Campers will be matched to ensure an appropriate peer group for learning and fun. Siblings are welcome! Our camps are vendored with some of SoCal’s Regional Centers. We also accept Self Determination funds. Contact your service coordinator today to learn more!

Parents Like Me Support Group
Wednesday, Mar. 20, 2024  | 6-7 pm PT 

Parents Like Me is a free support group for parents and caregivers of neurodivergent children 17 years of age or younger. The group meets virtually on the first and third Wednesday of each month. Caregivers select the topics of interest and group leaders will facilitate conversations and offer guidance.

Show off your gaming skills! Pick from a vast selection of video games to play with new friends. Snacks will be served. (We must have a minimum number of participants). For ages 13 – 17. Fee: $35. Before care from 3:15-4 pm for Help Group students is available for an extra $10.

The Help Group offers innovative, educational, and therapeutic support to empower children and young adults to live with dignity, hope, opportunity, and love. Our Kids Like Me program is specially designed for children and adolescents with autism spectrum and other special needs. Children with special needs can benefit greatly from fun, recreational activities that encourage social skills as well as developmental growth.  Kids Like Me participants enjoy a wide variety of enriching programs. Each child from the age of preschool to high school is engaged in structured activities facilitated and overseen by highly trained professionals.
