Music for Autism Community Concert Series Returns to The Help Group

On March 17, The Help Group was pleased to host the return of its Music for Autism Community Concert Series, presenting “Lucky Charms” in the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day, offering an afternoon of music for the whole family.

Performing songs from the American Songbook and the world of Broadway, in addition to an Irish sing-a-long, concertgoers experienced the musical talents of headlining performers, Dianne Fraser, Eydie Alyson and Caitlin Gallogly with musical direction from composer, singer and pianist, Brad Ellis.

With an enthusiastic welcome, Bradley Shahine, Director of Community Partnerships, kicked off the 2024 concert series, sharing, “We are thrilled to resume our in-person concerts and to welcome many old friends and new ones.”

Open to and free for Help Group families and the families of the Los Angeles community, Dr. Susan Berman, President and CEO of The Help Group addressing families shared, “Together with Music for Autism, we’re committed to continuing our mission of supporting children and families through live, inclusive community events. Events like these serve as reminders of what is possible when we work together to unlock the limitless potential inherent in every child.”

The Help Group is proud to be the West Coast partner for Music for Autism, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life and raising public awareness through its autism-friendly, interactive concerts designed for young people with autism and their families.

“The joy and community spirit these concerts bring to families and their children is what Music for Autism is all about,” expressed Robert Accordino, Music for Autism U.S. Founder and Chair. “It’s been my goal to revive and resume these live events – so I’m thrilled The Help Group, our West Coast partner, collaborated with us on a terrific 2024 concert series.”

Bringing the unique musical experience to Los Angeles since 2011, The Help Group’s Music for Autism concert series offers professionally performed, enriching musical experiences in an environment where individual differences are celebrated. The concerts, held in the United States and the United Kingdom, feature professional musicians, including Tony Award winners, Grammy-nominated classical artists, and Pulitzer Prize winners.
