The Help Group and Bear Givers are proud to present the 5th annual student art show Through Our Eyes: A Celebration of Young Artists. Bear Givers, a New York-based nonprofit organization, has generously sponsored the show for the last five years through its EmpowerArt Program for children.

The EmpowerArt Program enables young people with special needs or illness to experience the joy and pride of creating art, seeing it showcased and sold at a special exhibit and making a meaningful contribution since all proceeds are donated to the school or hospital. Knowing that their work is enriching their school or the hospital provides children with a one-of-a-kind sense of accomplishment and confidence.

The 2014 Art Exhibit will take place in the main gallery of the JNA Gallery at Bergamot Station Arts Center in Santa Monica. Artwork created by the students of The Help Group’s Village Glen and Bridgeport Schools will be on display Friday, June 6th through Friday, June 13th. All proceeds from the sale of the artwork will benefit the schools’ arts programs.

There will be a special reception to celebrate the young artists’ achievements on Sunday, June 8th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Parents, siblings and extended family are warmly invited to attend the reception. To RSVP to the reception, please contact The Help Group at events@thehelpgroup.org or 818.779.5212.
